Chocolate Stout Doughnuts
These chocolate stout doughnuts are so easy to whip up. Fluffy chocolate doughnuts with a stout glaze and some dark chocolate shavings, they make the perfect weekend treat.
Baked Chocolate Stout Doughnuts
190 grans all purpose flour
50 grams cocoa powder
2 teaspoon baking powder
100 grams granulated sugar
48 grams vegetable oil
1 egg
75 grams Guinness Stout
80 grams milk
Stout Glaze
150 grams powdered sugar
30 grams Guinness Stout
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a doughnut pan with non stick cooking spray. Set pan aside.
In a medium size bowl, sift together the dry ingredients. Mix in the oil, stout, egg, and milk until fully combined.
Pour batter into a piping bag (you can spoon the batter also, but I find this way is neater and more controlled) and fill the each doughnut cup 3/4 of the way full. Bake doughnuts for 8-10 minutes or until doughnut springs back to the touch.
Transfer to a cooling rack. Cool completely before glazing.
To make the glaze, mix together powdered sugar and Guinness until smooth. Dip doughnuts into glaze on one side and sprinkle with chocolate shavings or chocolate sprinkles.
