Blueberry Crisp Smoothie
This Blueberry Crisp Smoothie is easy to make, filling for a healthy breakfast and tastes just like blueberry crisp! It comes together in less than 10 minutes and you can enjoy it on it’s own or topped with granola.
Ingredients you’ll need
Blueberries - I used frozen wild blueberries, but any kind will work. If you only have fresh, make sure to freeze them ahead of time so the smoothie turns out creamy.
Oat milk - If you don’t have oat milk, almond milk will also work, just make sure it is unsweetened.
Oats - You can use any brand of quick or instant oats for this recipe.
Dates - I like to use pitted medjool dates, you can use 1-2 depending on how sweet you would like the smoothie.
Spices - cinnamon and nutmeg, which are both used in blueberry crisp. You could also add some ground ginger for a little more spice.
Granola - you can use any brand or flavor of granola for some extra crunch.
How to make a blueberry crisp smoothie
Start by soaking the dates in warm water for several minutes to soften.
Place all the ingredients except for the granola into a blender and blend on high until smooth.
Pour into a glass and top with granola.
Serve and enjoy!
Tips on making this recipe perfectly
Use frozen blueberries, this will make the smoothie extra creamy. You can always freeze fresh blueberries ahead of time or add some ice into the smoothie when you blend.
Add the oat milk to the blender first, and the blueberries last. This will help the smoothie blend more easily.
If you are having trouble blending the smoothie, you can add more oat milk to the blender.
