This recipe is for all the cookie dough lovers out there! The frosting on these brownies tastes just like raw cookie dough, but safe to eat since there are no raw eggs . All the key flavors and texture of raw cookie dough, and with just one simple step that makes this completely safe to eat!
How to make cookie dough frosting
Measure the all purpose flour and place on a parchment lined sheet pan, bake at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes and then cool before using. Heating the flour makes this frosting safe to eat.
Cream softened butter and powdered sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy for 2-3 minutes.
Add the milk and beat for another 2 minutes. Beating the frosting on high speed gives it a fluffy texture, so be sure not to skip this step.
Mix in the cooled flour and beat until incorporated.
Finely chop the chocolate and stir in.
Store in an airtight container until ready to use.
Tips on making this recipe perfectly
Use a high quality chocolate, the quality of the final product is only as good as the ingredients used. For this recipe I used Scharffen Berger 62% Semi Sweet Dark Chocolate Baking Bar.
Heat the flour for the frosting for the suggested time to ensure it is safe to eat raw.
Line the baking pan with parchment paper, this makes it easy to pull the brownies out and cut them.
